LOWER DANUBE. Uncertain tribe. 3rd century BC. AE (Bronze, 17 mm, 4.25 g, 9 h), imitating Philip II of Macedon. Celticized laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. VΛVIIL Celticized horseman to right; below horse, E. Cf. SNG ANS 915-8 (for prototype). Beautiful green patina. Minor spots of corrosion on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
